There has been controversy surrounding her age when she recorded. Some say she was 14. Her family said she was 16. Looking online, there are a lot of articles saying 14, citing "research" but not telling more about the research. For this article, I went with two sources; the first was the U.S. Census for 1910 and 1920. Census records are not 100% accurate in everything, but the fact is that in 1910, someone in Roba's family reported that she was two years old. Secondly, she has a memorial headstone on her grave, and her family gave her birth-date on that stone. I based her age on various dates in the article from the birth date on her gravestone.Jacqke (talk) 14:08, 18 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
